Nobody’s going to rain on my fitness progress
It’s raining, it’s pouring, and this momma is still getting her Friday pump in! I’ll be the first to admit, gloomy days seem like the perfect excuse to not work out. I wasted 15 minutes alone, trying to talk myself into a workout. Seeing as these are 30 minute circuits, I could have been halfway done with it. Instead, I had a full-on Smeagol and Gollum conversation with myself: “I’ve got to workout, I’ll feel so much better afterwards,” “no…no…it’s raining, the couch is comfy, drink hot cocoa with extra marshmallows instead.” The mallows almost won, especially because there’s a fluffy homemade peppermint batch calling my name! But I convinced myself to get off the couch and workout, the hot chocolate could be my reward later in the day. Besides, my Hawaii trip is 6 days away!
Let’s get this Fitbump Friday underway Mommas
Because of the rain, I warmed up by doing 5 minutes of jumping jacks, hackysacs, and mountain climbers.
Pregnancy Workout – 3 sets of 20 reps
- Squat Jacks with an overhead press (switch arms after 10)
- Single leg RDL with bicep curls (switch legs after 10)- I did 15 on each let because I finally found my mojo!
- Banded squat with lateral raise (alternate legs after each squat)
- Banded Bridge with alternating leg raises
- T-Rotation Push-ups (I did 3 sets of 10, but feel free to drop to those knees and get in 20)
- Skier Jumps
I made it through 2 full sets of skier jumps and then Evie decided to come give me some encouragement. She’s my favorite workout buddy. Playing and dancing with your babe is definitely a calorie burner and it’s way more fun! Am I right?
This outfit is perfect during football season when my Denver Broncos are playing. It’s one of my favorite from Fabletics, but it won’t be making another appearance until after baby boy comes. It was a bit snug on my bump.
With that said, it’s time to buy new gear! What are your favorite brands to workout in while pregnant?
Happy Baby Making!
