Mom Needs a Moment to Herself
and I’m not talking about 5 minutes hiding in the pantry eating cookies or pretending to use the bathroom while sneaking in a quick peek at your social media!

Too often we mama’s are so consumed with our little humans that we forget to take care of ourselves. Seriously, I can’t tell you how often my friends and I realize that we haven’t taken any time to pamper ourselves, have a night without kids, or bought something for ourselves besides cleaning supplies and groceries.I love my children, but I miss a good ladies brunch, a lazy Saturday waking up to my husband after a late night out together, a mom outing that isn’t rushed because I need to get back to relieve the sitter, etc. Ahh, this little things that we used to take for granted pre-motherhood. Remember when you could do these activities on a whim? Now-a-days, I have to coordinate schedules with the husband to get a moment to myself, which is fine, but I usually push it to the back burner and wait for a convenient time. News Flash: there is no convenient time that doesn’t require planning. So no more putting mom-time on the bottom of the to-do list.
I decided that it’s time to make a conscious effort to show myself some love and take a mom “timeout.” I started right away.
June’s Mommy Love Moments:
1- spa time. Pregnancy and post pregnancy hormones have my skin all out of whack! I scheduled a much needed facial and massage. Praise the Lord for giving some the gift of healing hands. AMEN.
2- lunch with some friends-kid free-margaritas included!
3- a date night with the husband. Honestly, it took a while to talk about something other than the kids, but we finally came back to that place where we used to flirt and make each other laugh about nonsense. Don’t neglect the love life ladies!
4- #TreatYoself A new outfit or accessory purchase is a nice feel good treat. This JORD watch is just the arm candy this time managing mama needed. I love the wood detail and the aqua POP of color. Seriously, I never buy anything for myself anymore. I will purchase things for the kids without hesitation, but I question purchases for myself. But man does it feel nice to spoil yourself sometimes. Seriously ladies, look at these beautiful wood watches.
All parents deserve love and pampering, and while I can’t spoil all of you fabulous people, I have partnered with JORD to give a little love in the form of a $100 credit for a stunning watch of your very own. While only one person will be randomly chosen to win $100 towards their favorite watch, every entrant will receive a $25 credit towards a watch purchase! This is an open giveaway for moms and dads, so guys, make sure to check out JORD’s men’s watches!
